GBJC Membership Information

The GBJC initiative has in a short space of time become hugely successful with the judo community with over 180,000 website views alone in just 2 years.

The website that started as something to do” during yet another Covid lockdown is a victim of its own success with increased operational costs.
So to cover our expenses and also continue to develop and improve, we had to find a solution.

Currently we are testing this membership option along with having created a GoFundMe donation option.

Go to the GBJC GoFundMe page if you would like to donate whatever possible.

Currently, for the price of a cup of coffee on the high street, £2,50.
You will become a GBJC member for a limited period of time and have access to all the GBJC website content and initiatives.

  • NO recurring charges you need to remember to cancel!  A simple one off payment!
  • ALL financial transactions are handled securely by a 3rd party.  Currently Sprint taking the smallest commission available to use.
  • GBJC DOES NOT distribute or sell your information to others!

ALL GDPR, both UK and EU, are adhered to.

Operational Expenses Only!

GBJC has no paid staff, doesn’t fiddle payments to anybody by sneaky means, has no international relations budget, pays no remuneration and we don’t cover travel or accomendation expenses for anybody!
We have no offices and everybody involved work off laptops from wherever they may be.

GBJC are currently looking at supporting the judo community with easy access to information.

Wherever and whatever that will support the judo community.

The website covers many events and competitions that the judo associations don’t bother with.
Prioritising the “user experience” so information is easy to find.

On social media, GBJC created a judo event FaceBook group (public) that in under a year became the largest judo event group.
Averaging about 6-800 visits per day.
It is for all judo association events and competitions and also all the judo events they don’t list or promote.
Masterclasses – Charity events – Camps – Courses – Social Events …… the only criteria is that an event has to be judo related.

The GB Judo Event FaceBook group was created about a year ago and has become the biggest judo event facebook group in the UK!

Join the GB Judo Event group and share events WITH the group or FROM the group!

Free & Digitally- GBJC 2023

GBJC has become known for publishing many facts that judo politicians would prefer were kept secret as they have been in the past.

Always substanciated with evidence.

The lack of transparency and acountability, particularly in how membership and public money is spent, has caused judo in britain to underperform in practically every aspect.
From grassroots to elite.

On a more positive note.

When a member of the judo community drew attention to the Aldi Sports Initiative.

GBJC and the community quickly rallied together, shared information and the number of judo clubs involved in the free initiative increased 10 fold in just a few weeks.
The GBJC website had over 800 views of the Aldi initiative and 175 link clicks to the Aldi website with sign-up and information.

NO GBJC membership was required or will be required with such initiatives that benefits everybody in judo.

That is fine!

If you are happy with what you are already paying for through affiliation, membership and grading fees?  Along with everything else the associations are charging you for?
You shouldn’t sign up to become a GBJC membership.

You can sign up for the free GBJC Newsletter to keep up with what GBJC isup to?
Though the subscriber number is limited due to GBJC using free software so we may have to prioritise subscriptions to GBJC members soon?

It was launched July 2022.

Check out yourself how many things it was meant to do for coaches, clubs, members and parents.
And whether these functions are working?
