The BJA AGM meeting minutes, 6th November 2021, take approx 11 months to be approved by the BJA Board of Directors before they, along with facts and figures, are released to BJA clubs, coaches and members.
At the 2020 BJA AGM, only 6% of BJA clubs voted unanimously to approve the annual report, approx £5 million annual accounts and the auditors.

* The figures for the combined membership of the AJA (Amateur Judo Association) and the BJC (British Judo Council) are highly doubtful since neither organisations are forthcoming to their members and coaches about membership numbners.
It is also highly doubtful that these two organisations met with the BJA twice yearly, as required and outlined in the affiliation agreements, since there is no reference to any such meetings in BJA, AJA or BJC governance documents.
Some BJA Initiatives:
2021 Membership Covid-19 Survey – August 11, 2021
The survey is still open for entries, 156 days after being launched, should you wish to particiate?
Joyce Heron, Deputy Sport Director, August 11 – 2021:
Your feedback is essential as it will allow us to gauge the support that we need to provide as we move forward in these uncertain times.
FACILITIES STRATEGY 2021 – NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY
BJA Communications department, 17 November 2021
In order to gain an up-to-date, in-depth understanding of judo club facilities, and the challenges you currently face, we require as many clubs as possible to be a part of this process.
The results of this survey will be utilised to aid the development of a new facilities strategy, as well as gathering intelligence for future development programmes.
This initiative also remains open for participation almost 2 months since being launched.
